Radek Pilař and Ester Krumbachová left behind a legacy that is layered, diverse and yet deeply interconnected. Approaching their work as a coherent whole is far from simple — it almost inevitably invites hierarchical ordering or division into discrete categories. This, in turn, poses a challenge for archivists, curators, theorists and writers who grapple with how to handle the estates of intermedia artists: how to preserve them, process them, and present them to the public.
